Tire Foam in Engine Bay? || + How To Clean Mouse Smell



I had to clean out a mouse nest from the engine bay of my 944 Turbo. I just sprayed the engine bay with low pressure water, making sure not to soak the alternator, and I used automotive soap for the initial wash. Yes the battery was unplugged. Much to my surprise, I also found that Goo Gone will eliminate mouse smell. I rinsed that out. I dried the engine bay with a fan (moving air is amazing). Then I decided to try tire foam in the engine bay to add a protective layer to the plastics, hoses, and topside of the engine. I did this because I had the foam on hand, so why not (don't tell me because the can says it's for tires)....

I bought this 944 Turbo in 2010, after it sat for 8 years. I fixed it up and drove it for 3 years. It sprung a gas leak in the rear, and the tires were getting old, along with other nuances. So I let it sit while I focused on other cars and business. Now I'm dying to get back in it. I know, just in time for winter...
